Lisa J. Brakefield, General Manager

Joined ABSS in January 2000 as the Professional Services Manager. She has since taken on the responsibilities of the General Manager. Lisa has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida as well as a Masters degree in Human Resources Management. Lisa has a strong HR and project management background and spent much of her early career with Circuit City/ CarMax. Her primary responsibilities with ABSS consist of recruitment support and federal and state personnel law compliance, materials and asset logistics, equipment procurement, contracts administration, and Field Services Project Management.

Larry Bournique - VP of Operations

Larry is a year 28 veteran of the telecommunications industry with experience that ranges from outside plant design and construction to executive positions with several cable television organizations in the United States and Europe.

Larry has extensive experience and proven track record in all phases of CATV construction, plant maintenance, disaster preparation and relief, design engineering, business operations, and project management.

Ed Miller - VP of Finance

Following graduation from the University of Washington, Ed launched his professional career with the international CPA Firm, Deloitte, (then Haskins & Sells), where he developed an expertise in the construction industry that, after ten years, lead him to a position of Vice President, Finance & Administration with a private company. Subsequently, Ed responded to his entrepreneurial aspirations, and for several years he owned and operated a variety of small businesses in the leisure industry, including fishing charters, a mountain resort, and a modern replica paddlewheel river boat.

Ed returned to his accounting and financial career in the mid 1990’s, advancing to the position of Vice President, Finance and Administration with a national home builder in the Tampa, Florida area. He remained there until the major real estate market decline in late 2007 forced a move in another direction. Ed is now enjoying his position in the CATV industry, and is pleased to be a member of the executive team at ABSS, Inc.

Greg Loop - SE Regional Manager

Greg’s career began in 1978 as a strand lineman and has since worked through all levels of construction, splicing, fiber and twisted pair splicing and testing, sweep and certification. Greg has managed large construction and sweep projects all over the country including but not limited to builds in New York, L.A., Boston, Philadelphia, Tampa, and Atlanta. Greg’s primary responsibilities for ABSS Southeast Region include all profit/loss, billing, bids, truck and equipment tracking, and new prospect work. Greg has been with ABSS for just over 1 year.

Mike Penberthy - Midwest Regional Manager

Mike has over 21 years experience in the telecommunications industry ranging from premise through new build and upgrade construction.

Mike’s work history begins with Americable Group Inc Merrimack, NH from 1987 to 1998 where he worked as a Lead Technician. He then moved on to Media One/ AT&T Lawrence, MA from 1998 to 2001 where he filled the role of Regional Activation Team Lead. Mike migrated into management next with White Mountain Cable Construction Epsom, NH from 2001 to 2006 where he worked as a Technical Manager. He has been with Advanced Broadband System Services since 2006 and began as a Project Manager and due to his achievements and excellence has recently been promoted to Regional Manager for the Midwest.

Dale Lutz - Director, Business Development

Dale Lutz is a 30+ year veteran of Broadband Engineering & Design in the Telecommunications industry.

Dale started his career in 1976 with Storer Cable Communications. Dale held various Technical/Engineering positions within Storer's Eastern Region, Corporate, and Western Region Offices. Responsibilities centered on OSP Engineering, Design, Construction, and Installation.

In 1985, Dale left Storer and joined Scientific Atlanta as a Sr. Applications Engineer for their Distribution Product Line. Here Dale's responsibilities centered on Technical/Engineering support for the Sales/Marketing Group.

1988, through 2007 Dale was a General Manager, Co-Owner, or Owner of a number of Consulting Engineering companies that centered on OSP Engineering, Design, CAD, and Construction.
