Our President/CEO

Beginning in the mid-70's, our President/CEO, Richard M. "Mike" Brakefield, began assembling the right combination of resources and started a company that today is recognized internationally as an industry leader in providing complete and quality solutions to its customers.

Since that early start Mike's successes initially were in the areas of providing technical services and project management through an industry icon, American Spliceco, Inc. Mike parlayed that experience and expertise into not only expanding the business internationally through his merged entity, Internet International, Inc., but also acquired and expanded SMATV and franchised cable operations in Orange, Lake, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Charlotte and Polk counties in Florida. This included the purchase of 19 properties from Florida Power & Light's Telesat division, a portion of which were ultimately structured as an entity that was offered on the Toronto Stock Exchange, and the balance sold to local MSO's.

Mike continues to provide experience and expertise not only as President and CEO of ABSS, but also as a consultant domestically and internationally to a client list that includes Bell South, Telecable Nacional, Cable Onda, CTC and many others. It's this experience and expertise that uniquely qualifies Mike and ABSS to provide complete, quality and timely solutions for cable system installation and operations.
